7-Days

7-Days Privacy Policy

Effective Date: September 18, 2026

Last Updated: September 18, 2026

1. Introduction

7-Days (the "App") is a diary app that stores your entries locally on your iPhone. It is developed and provided by the 7-Days Development Team ("we", "us", or "our"). We know that a diary is deeply personal, so the App is built on one principle: your data stays on your device.

This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles information related to you. Please read it carefully before using the App. In short: the App requires no sign-up or sign-in, does not collect your personal information, and keeps your diary only on your device, where we cannot access it.

2. Information We Collect

We do not collect any personal information. The App has no accounts, no servers, and no cloud sync. Everything you create in the App is stored locally on your device and is never uploaded to us or to any third party. Specifically:

  • Your entries (including titles, text, dates, places, and weather), folders, unsaved drafts, and App settings (such as language and appearance) are stored only on your device.
  • The App contains no third-party SDKs, no ads, and no analytics. It does not report usage data and does not track you across other apps or websites.
  • The App does not access your contacts, photos, microphone, or camera, and does not use the Advertising Identifier (IDFA).
  • Weather is selected manually by you. The App does not go online to fetch it.

On-device User ID. When you first open the App, it randomly generates an anonymous identifier (a UUID) on your device and stores it in the device Keychain and the local database. This identifier does not contain, and is not linked to, your name, phone number, email address, or any other personal information. It is never sent to us automatically and is not synced to your other devices through iCloud Keychain. Its only purpose is to help us look into an issue when you choose to contact us. You can view and copy it in Settings → About 7-Days.

Feedback You Choose to Send. When you contact us through Settings → Send Feedback, the App opens the Mail app on your device and pre-fills the App version, iOS version, device model, and your User ID. It never includes any diary content. Whether to send the email, and what it contains, is entirely up to you. Only after you send it do we receive the email (including your email address and whatever you wrote), and we use it solely to reply to you and to troubleshoot the issue.

Diagnostics Provided by Apple. If you have chosen to share analytics with app developers in your iOS settings, Apple may provide us with aggregated diagnostic information such as crash reports. This is handled by Apple under Apple's Privacy Policy, and you can turn it off at any time in iOS Settings. The App itself does not collect or send this information.

3. Device Permissions

The App may request only one system permission: Location (While Using the App).

  • When we ask: Only when you tap Add Location for the first time. The App never asks at launch and never requests "Always" access.
  • How it is used: Once you grant access, the App gets your approximate current location and uses Apple's system map services to turn the coordinates into a place name and to find nearby places. If you search on the location screen, the keywords you type are also sent to that service to return results. These requests are processed by Apple under Apple's Privacy Policy. We do not receive this information.
  • How it is stored: The place name and coordinates you choose are saved locally on your device as part of the entry. For places you enter manually, only the name is saved, without coordinates.
  • Declining or revoking access: You can decline and still enter places manually. All other features continue to work. You can change or revoke the App's location access at any time in iOS Settings.
  • Open in Maps: When you choose Open in Maps on an entry, the App passes the place name and coordinates to Apple Maps.

Apart from the location services above, which only run when you use them, the App makes no network requests.

4. Data Storage and Security

  • All of your diary data is stored in the App's private storage on your device. Other apps cannot access it, and it does not appear in the Files app.
  • The database file is protected by iOS Data Protection: after your device restarts, the data stays encrypted and unreadable until you unlock the device for the first time.
  • The App does not have an app lock. To protect your entries, we recommend setting a device passcode and keeping your unlocked device secure.
  • Your local data is included in your iCloud Backup or computer backup. How backups are stored and encrypted is determined by Apple and your system settings.
  • The App writes to the clipboard only when you choose Copy Text or copy your User ID, and it never reads the clipboard.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, share, or otherwise disclose your information to any third party. In fact, we have no access to your diary data. Information leaves the App only in the following situations, all initiated by you:

  • When you use location features, the requests are handled by Apple's system services as described in Section 3.
  • When you choose to send a feedback email, it is delivered to us through the email service you use.
  • When you copy entry content or use Open in Maps, you are handing that content to another app.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

  • Retention: Your entries remain on your device until you delete them or delete the App.
  • Recently Deleted: Entries you delete are moved to Recently Deleted and kept for 30 days. During that time, you can restore them or delete them permanently. After 30 days, the App deletes them permanently and automatically.
  • Deleting the App: Deleting the App removes all entries, folders, drafts, and settings from your device. Your User ID remains in that device's Keychain so it stays the same if you reinstall the App. It does not contain any personal information.
  • System backups: Data already included in an iCloud Backup or computer backup is kept or deleted according to how you manage those backups. You can manage and delete backups in iOS Settings or on your computer.
  • Feedback emails: We keep feedback emails you send us only as long as needed to handle your request. You can ask us to delete them at any time.

7. Your Rights

Because your diary data is stored entirely on your device, you can view, edit, and delete all of it directly in the App without going through us. Specifically:

  • You can view, edit, move, or delete any entry or folder at any time.
  • You can grant, change, or revoke location access at any time in iOS Settings.
  • If you have sent us a feedback email, you can ask us to access, correct, or delete the information in it, and we will respond within a reasonable time.

This Policy does not limit any other rights you may have under the laws where you live.

8. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under the age of 13. The App does not collect personal information from anyone, including children. If you are a minor, please read this Policy and use the App with the guidance of a parent or guardian. If a parent or guardian believes a child has sent us a feedback email, they can contact us as described below and we will delete it.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time as features change or as required by law. The updated Policy will be published in the App, and the "Last Updated" date at the top will be revised. If a change materially affects how information is handled (for example, if we begin collecting any information), we will notify you prominently in the App before the change takes effect.

10. Contact Us

If you have any questions, comments, or requests about this Policy or your information, please contact us through Settings → Send Feedback in the App. We will respond as soon as we can.

You can also email us directly at Mafsh6354@gmail.com.
